Baby Duo's First Heist

"Okay, so if we're both stuck here, we're going to need some kind of funds," Neeshka says, as they wend their way through the crowd of Neverwinter's streets towards somewhere Neeshka hopes they can get a room. "Especially if we want to get out of Neverwinter. Which we do. Or, well, I do, anyway."

Too many people here knew her, and there were a variety of unhappy memories she'd rather not deal with. Plus, there's still some leftover undead from the mess further down the Sword Coast, and sneak attacks didn't work very well on undead.

"And since pickpocketing isn't going to get us very far, we're going to have to plan something bigger," she finishes.

They've been back in Neeshka's world for two days now, and with no network and no access to liminal space and no other Travelers besides themselves and Monkey-- currently in the form of exactly that, a monkey, clinging to her neck and hissing at people irritably-- Neeshka at least has decided that no Arcana rescue is likely to show up, and they'd better just get themselves settled in. It took them those two days to get north the rest of the way to the city, after being dumped in the rubble of the catacombs she and the others had been supposed to be teleported into so many years ago.

The city is a good sight better than strange, crumbling ruins that carried a haunted air that reminded Sabetha far too much of the catacombs beneath Misericordia, but that doesn't mean she's relaxed since reaching civilization - though most wouldn't know that to look at her. Her posture is open and casual, her expression faintly amused, and only the keeness of her gaze as she assesses passers by - particularly those who look to be dressed in guild colours - betrays her.

"It rarely does," she says, giving Neeshka a small, crooked smile. "You know the area - where would you start?"
